OUR Challenges

• COVID 19
• High inflation; sharp increase in prices of fuel, construction materials, and other items.
• Some youth farmers don’t own land instead they depend on family and rented land. This limited their agricultural activities (tree planting and growing of annual crops). The majority preferred value addition and agricultural trade.
• The unpredictable weather conditions affecting planting patterns.
• Establishment of a stone quarry (YARD); some farmers had to shift from that community to another, other farmers joined the quarry business, and animal and human health were affected
• There has been a few cases of dropouts of members from groups due to land grabbing, marriage, death.
• Poor veterinary services sometimes leading to loss of animal lives
